To Apply

Step 1: Download an application

• Fill out application (click here to download one)
• Be sure to have a parent sign the application where required
• Submit a $500 application deposit to reserve your spot. This deposit will be credited towards the total program fee.

Step 2: Interview and Enrollment Decision

• Once we have received your $500 deposit and a complete application we will email you to schedule a phone interview. This will help us ensure you are a fit for the program and evaluate your application better. We are looking for motivated individuals who want to learn about their world. Within one week of the interview you will receive the result of your application and interview

Step 3: Prepare for your trip

• After you have been accepted, final payment must be submitted to Global Glimpse. In addition, you will receive from us a pre-trip packet to prepare for your trip. Also signup on our community site to meet others you will be traveling with.

Application Deadline

We have a rolling admissions process. However, our programs fill up quickly. We encourage interested students to apply as soon as possible.

Program Fees

Global Glimpse is an educational nonprofit and we work hard to minimize our costs.

• The 2010 programs fees are still to be set. Please check back here in December. 
  
• This includes airfare which we purchase at a bulk rate to minize the cost.

Included in fee:

• Airfare
  
• Lodging
  
• 3 meals a day
  
• All transportation
  
• All activities: day trips, speakers, cultural and recreational activities entrance fees
  
• Supplementary travel medical insurance

Not included:

• Personal spending money.  Nicaragua is a very affordable country and we recommend students to bring between $50 and $200 if they choose to purchase gifts or items from the hostel snack bar

Payment Schedule

WStudents must submit their Program Application with a $500 Application Deposit. For those students who are not accepted to the program, the Application Deposit is refundable.

For those students who have already been accepted, the remaining balance is due 3 weeks after acceptance. Please contact us if you need to arrange a special payment plan.

Cancellation and Refunds

If a student withdraws from a program for any reason prior to departure, a refund will be calculated by the following schedule:

Before March 1, 2010 all but $500 is refundable
Before April 1, 2010 all but $1,000 is refundable
Before May 1, 2010 all but $1,500 is refundable
After May 1, 2010 we cannot issue refunds.

Withdrawal from a program is effective on the date that written notification is received by a Global Glimpse employee.

The cancellation and refund policy is in effect from the initial receipt of a student's application and deposit, even before he or she is formally accepted and enrolled.

If a student is asked to leave the program for a violation of program rules, he or she is not eligible for any refunds or insurance reimbursements.

Global Glimpse reserves the right to alter program dates, travel itineraries and other program details without prior notice, as required by the interest of the program.
