2010 Global Explorer Program
Global Glimpse is a 3 week leadership, service and global education program set in Leon, Nicaragua. We meet with local leaders, take day trips and perform community service.

Study, Service and Leadership Abroad
Participants experience culminates in a 3 week journey to Leon, Nicaragua. Leon provides the backdrop for participant's in-depth global education case study and a chance to put their leadership skills to the test.

Visits to nearby sites of interest from plantations, historical and cultural sites (Leon is famous for its 21 spanish style churches), government institutions, parks and beaches (we are 20min from the beaches of the pacific ocean)
Self-reflection and academic curriculum
These sessions help the students understand the context of what they experience, why it is important and how it impacts their future decisions. The program uses Nicaragua as a case-study of the global interdependence of the world
Accomondation and Meals
Participant's meals will be catered to ensure safety and students will be provided with bottled water for drinking.

Leon, Nicaragua

Tranquil colonial town that showcases the best Nicaragua has to offer. Over 250 years old with a unique mix of culture and history set against a thriving economy of coffee and cotton plantations. Less than 20 miles to the beaches of the Pacific Ocean and the top of Cerro Negro, the local volcano. Leon is a showcase of the natural beauty of Central America.
